Wrightsville Beach Turkey Trot

When: November 23, 2023

Where: Wrightsville Beach, NC

What: Burn off those pre-Thanksgiving calories with the Wrightsville Beach Turkey Trot. Come dressed in your finest Turkey costume while enjoying a Timed 5K or One Mile Run/Walk on the beautiful Wrightsville Beach Loop. There will be prizes and fun for everyone this Thanksgiving Day!

NTB Gobble Wobble

When: November 23, 2023

Where: North Topsail Beach

What: Come and be a part of our Island Family’s newest tradition – a fun, flat 5k supporting a wonderful charity, and honoring our NTB friend, Ryan Hansen – a wonderful pillar of our community who was a friend to all.

The North Carolina Holiday Flotilla at Wrightsville Beach

When: Friday November 24-Sunday November 26. A full weekend of fun!

Where: Wrightsville Beach, NC

What: Celebrate the holidays coastal-style at the 40th Annual NC Holiday Flotilla. A local delight since 1983, the celebration kicks off Friday night with the Tree Lighting ceremony that is open to the public. The fun continues Saturday with the Festival in the Park featuring over 100 arts and craft vendors, an antique car show, a large play area for children with several inflatables, festival food and more. The Flotilla (lighted boat parade) begins Saturday at 6:00 pm and is followed by a spectacular fireworks show.

Island of Lights: Lighting at the Lake

When: November 24, 2023

Where: Carolina Beach Lake Park

What: Get in the holiday spirit at the Island of Lights opening celebration. Festivities begin with a brief opening ceremony featuring elected officials, musical entertainment, Honor Guard display and the National Anthem followed by the Lighting of the Lake. Walk the one mile trail and view beautiful lighted displays. Santa will be there to hear Christmas wishes. An enchanting night to start your festive holiday season. The Lake will remain lit through the holiday season.

Holiday Flotilla Dinner Cruise

When: November 25, 2023

Where: Island Cruises, Carolina Beach, NC

What: Ring in the holidays with a special dinner cruise to the NC Holiday Flotilla and fireworks! This seven hour cruise features a full Southern dinner of pulled pork, sliced brisket, and smoked turkey served with all the trimmings. Upon arrival in Banks Channel, your front row seat gives exciting views of the fireworks and Flotilla. Festive dance music accompanies your return to Carolina Beach for an evening you will always remember.
